Our Space

We are located at 246 Marine Terrace, right on the Geraldton Foreshore.

Built in 1879, our beautiful historic building has had many purposes, including the Original Railway Building, Library and Visitors Centre. It is also the location of the Iconic 50 cent swing, created in 1988 as a tribute to The Merry Go Round in The Sea, a novel written by famous local author Randolph Stow.

A State Heritage building, this venue became the home of Regional Sounds in January 2022, and has since then been created into a multi-purpose hub, with both outdoor and indoor areas perfect for a variety of sound-based activities and experiences for diverse groups of people

We are a community-based creative not-for-profit, which due to the generous support of the City of Greater Geraldton in allowing us use of this space, has been able to exist and to grow.

Sound and music-based activities are used as a catalyst to bring more cohesion, vibrancy and connection to our community, while also creating opportunities for regionally-based musicians to be able to grow, collaborate and develop creatively while in the region.
